Why busy people are the most successful đ¤ˇđ˝ââď¸
Maybe youâre in another program.
Maybe youâre juggling motherhood, another business, or youâre building a business alongside your 9-5.
Either way, I totally get it.
Youâre busy, but you still want to be a successful author.
Hereâs why your busy-ness is the very reason why you will be a successful author:
Thereâs something called Newtonâs Laws of Motion.
Newtonâs Laws of Motion govern the motion of everything in the universe, from planets to humans.
These laws donât just apply to rolling bowling balls or apples falling from trees.
They apply to everything in the universe, including human behavior and human success.
Newtonâs First Law of Motion says that things at rest tend to stay at rest.
Things that are in motion tend to stay in motion. đđ˝ââď¸
what this means to you:
If you feel like life is busy and that your dream of author success needs to wait until youâre in a slower season of life, that will work against you.
The person on the couch hoping to run a 5k has to overcome enormous excuses, odds, and energy just to put down the remote, get up off the couch, put on his sneakers, and start walking around the block.
But the person who is already walking around the block?
It is easier for them to start jogging. Then running. Then run 1,000 feet. Then 1 mile. Then 3 miles. Pretty soon, theyâre running a 5k.
Not because they waited until they were less busy.
But because they know that motion begets more motion. đđ˝ââď¸
Motion begets more motion. Some of the most successful authors I know are running a book launch alongside running their businesses. Success begets more success.
Some of the most productive people I know are moms, who are juggling 10 things at once. They have pickup, dinner, grocery shopping, remembering her neighborâs birthday, cleaning, finances, dating her husband, and more. Moms are superheroes. They get it all done.
Thereâs also a saying: âIf you want something done, give it to a busy person.â
Some of the most successful people I know are in multiple programs at the same time, because they are learning multiple skills at once. They want to learn how to sell while at the same time learning how to run ads. They know if they want to run ads successfully, they need to learn how to sell. Therefore, because they want the success, they are in multiple programs at once, not letting busy-ness be their excuse.
My clients are running their businesses at the same time they are running a book launch. One day, theyâre more focused on their business. But because they want author success, they re-prioritize and focus back on the launch.
Your commitment to one thing often expands your commitment and outcomes to another.
Entrepreneurship is not a game of one silver bullet that solves everything.
Entrepreneurship is a game of multiple golden bbâs that complement each other.
Becoming a successful author and a great marketer will complement and amplify the other business skills you have.
Making it a no-brainer to pursue author success while youâre living your current, busy, blessedly full life. â¤ď¸
Author success is what you want, isnât it?
